Reiki

Reiki is a form of energy healing that is believed to have originated in Tibet many thousands of years ago. It was rediscovered in Japan in the early 1900s by a Buddhist Monk called Dr Mikao Usui.

Reiki , works with energy blocks or imbalances to bring the clients energy field back into balance. It can be used to address issues on the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual levels and is often a combination of these. Many people used Reiki as a form of relaxation and stress relief, but it can be much more than this offering healing and stimulating the clients body's own healing processes. Reiki does no harm and requires the client to accept and join with the healing process on some level.

Kate uses a "hands off" Reiki approach, where she works in the energy field a few inches above the body. When she works with animals, she often changes to a "Hands on" approach, as this seems to increase acceptance the process.

Brazilian Light Energisation

Dogs and Cats

Through her Reiki work Kate found she has an ability to work with animals, starting first with dogs and progressing on to cats. Through her Empathic abilities, she is able to "tune in" to an animal and provide some insight into their feelings and health. This communication can help us to understand root cause of a problem the animal is facing, whether it is physical or, as is often the case, something that manifests as a behavioral problem, as that is one of the few options animals have to communicate with us.

A common request from owners, towards the end of a pet's life, is to understand whether their beloved pet is in pain and ready to let go of this world and move on.

Kate is open to working with other large animals.
